Charles' Bread Pudding 1 1/2 lbs white bread crumbs 1 1/2 lbs Granny Smith apples- peeled and sliced 1/2 cups raisins Place in a large bowl. 2 cups brown sugar 3 1/2 cups milk 1/2 butter Cook until the butter melts. Pour over the bread/apple mixture. Let stand 10 minutes. 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 4 eggs Mix and add to the bread. Pour everything into a greased 9x13 baking dish Serve with the following sauce. 1 cup butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup whipping cream 2 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup Canadian Club Whiskey Heat over medium heat until thich and bubbling.
