Level 3 Requirements

To qualify, you must complete the following:
Requirement        Date        Approved
1. Do the Moon Observing activity (soon to come)

2. Locate and observe all the planets except Pluto (without using setting circles

3. Do one of the following:
  • Find and observe 50 Messier objects (without using setting circles)
  • Do a science project relating to astronomy (must have Leader's approval)


4. Play a leading role in a star party, public astronomy program, or school program.
